Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
• Observes and assesses patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to supervisor and physician as needed.
• Documents all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
• Participates, implements, and updates the nursing care plan.
• Takes appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieves expected outcomes.
• Recognizes changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implements care to prevent or reduce risk.
• Complies with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patients according to OSHA standards.
• Educates patients and families about disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
• Maintains knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession through participation in educational programs and continuing education.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Unencumbered state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
• One year of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting (South Carolina), one year of experience required working under current nursing license (California, Louisiana).
• Continuing Education as required by state.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered LVN license.
• Current TB skin test (within last 12 months).
• Twelve (12) months prior hands-on nursing experience required.
• Reliable transportation.

$30-33/HR
