Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Full-time (Nights) - Behavioral Health (SUD)

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our nursing team on a full-time basis at our facility in Waelder, TX. This is a flexible opportunity for a nurse who wants to bring clinical expertise to a small, close-knit team supporting people through substance use recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including ASAM forms.
• Provide routine nursing care at various levels of care.
• Identify treatment needs and integrate findings into collaborative, measurable treatment plans.
• Complete nursing documentation in accordance with facility and state requirements.
• Review medication logs and assist the medical department with a variety of tasks.
• Administer medications as directed by the medical provider.
• Facilitate medication education for patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and referral sources on progress updates and post-discharge planning.
• Apply clinical judgment in crisis situations, including risk assessments and de-escalation.
• Build rapport and trust with patients through strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Active LVN license in Texas.
• Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
• Strong assessment and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to maintain objectivity and empathy in patient interactions.
• Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics.
• Knowledge of state and federal confidentiality regulations.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience in substance use disorder treatment, acute care, or detox settings.
• Preferred: Familiarity with KIPU EMR system.
• Preferred: Personal or professional familiarity with the local recovery community; lived experience is valued but not required.

Pay

$28 - $34 hourly, based on experience and education.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts.
• Night Shift opportunities (5:45pm - 6:15am).
