Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) 13 Week Assignment - Nights - $50/hr. | Rocky Mount Specialty

About the role

This 13-week assignment pays $50 per hour and requires no travel reimbursement. The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides nursing care under the direction of an RN on the nursing unit, including gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures appropriate to the patient’s age and population, in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit
• Gather and report patient data
• Carry out physician and RN orders
• Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates
• Current BLS certification required; must be AHA-approved within 90 days of employment
• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
