Pay and Benefits
- Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 2:30pm - 11:30pm.
- Hourly Rate: $38.14
- Union Positions: Pay rates set in Collective Bargaining Agreement with SEIU Local 521.
- Step Structure: Six steps for union staff, promoted annually.
- Shift Differential: 6.25% for NOC, 4.75% for evening and weekend shifts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Treatment Services: Provide medical treatment, crisis intervention, medication support, and rehabilitation services.
- Treatment Team Member: Serve as a member of the treatment team, provide training, support, and evaluate clients.
- Crisis Intervention: Interview and assess patients, determine need for involuntary hospitalization, and implement therapeutic interventions.
- Medication Support: Administer medications, maintain medicine supply, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Client Transportation: Coordinate and schedule client visits with physicians, provide transportation, and administer first aid.
- Program Maintenance: Ensure program facilities are clean and well-kept, monitor first aid supplies, and implement disaster plans.
- Team Participation: Attend and participate in staff, program, Agency, and community meetings and training.
- Resource Management: Participate in managing team/program discretionary resources to meet client needs.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities Required
- Educational Background: Completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician program and at least one year of full-time paid human services experience.
- Experience: One year of experience in a mental health setting, experience in implementing medication support systems, and previous experience working with the target population.
- Technical Proficiency: Current registration with the State of California as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician or Licensed Vocational Nurse, current First Aid Certification, and certification in writing 5150 holds.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective utilization of computer technology, proficiency in typing/keyboarding, and proficiency in a second language.
- Other Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently, engage and communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and work collaboratively with individuals with serious mental illness.
