Duties
- Provides a basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in various correctional health care settings.
- Ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients under the supervision of the SRN II/III and clinical guidance of the RN, CF.
- Promotes the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
- Works with physicians and other health care providers to address the ongoing needs of patients.
- Communicates effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
Qualifications
- Current California LVN license.
- One year of experience as a LVN in a correctional facility setting.
- Experience with the LVN scope of practice and ability to collaborate with the health care team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of correctional health care systems and procedures.
