Duties
- Provides a basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in various correctional health care settings.
- Ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) II/III and clinical guidance of the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Promotes the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
- Works with physicians and other health care providers to address the ongoing needs of patients.
- Communicates effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
Qualifications
- Current California LVN license.
- Completion of a formal training program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
- One year of experience in a correctional setting preferred.
