Responsibilities

• Provides an appropriate clinic environment for patient care by maintaining the patient area in an orderly manner and maintaining neatness of the work environment.
• Performs and assist providers with patient care activities which includes but not limited to Vital signs, administering injections, phlebotomy, minor procedures and patient education.
• Interacts with physician practices, pharmacies, drug reps, third party payers and other departments.
• Maintains required documentation of patient care and clinic activities in accordance with standards.
• Safeguards the safety of patients and others by maintaining awareness of current developments, evidence based practice and trends in nursing research with a focus on the specific patient population in which they are employed.
• Ensures nursing skills are performed effectively according to established standards of care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current LVN license in the State of Texas.
• BLS Certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

Unit specific competencies obtained within six months of hire.
