Licensed Vocational Nurse
Requirements
- A valid California LVN license.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Maintain accurate MARs and clinical documentation.
- Monitor vital signs, blood glucose, seizure activity, skin integrity, and overall health status.
- Provide skilled nursing care within LVN scope of practice.
- Schedule and coordinate routine and specialty medical appointments.
- Ensure medical documentation accompanies residents to appointments.
- Receive, process, and implement physician orders promptly and accurately.
- Track follow-up appointments, labs, and referrals to ensure completion.
- Report changes in condition to RN and medical providers.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
Qualifications
- Active LVN license in good standing.
- Current driver's license.
- Experience in long-term care, developmental services, or skilled nursing preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
