About the role
DaVita is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide care in an outpatient dialysis center. You will make an exceptional difference in the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. This role offers the opportunity to deliver empathetic, compassionate care in an intimate outpatient setting.
No dialysis experience is required. Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic. You will float to various clinics during and after training. A flexible schedule is required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Work as part of a collaborative team in a positive environment.
- Deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and a broad range of nursing skills.
- Work in a fast-paced environment using clinical knowledge, empathy, and hands-on care.
- Complete training program approved by the medical director and governing body to operate the water treatment system as required by CMS guidelines.
- Commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- IV certification if required by state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook; functional proficiency in DaVita’s computer systems within 90 days of hire.
