About the Role
At LVVSC, Veterinary Technicians play a vital role in both patient care and client service. In addition to core technical skills such as patient restraint, medication administration, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy, Cardiology Technicians will also be responsible for specialized duties within the department. This includes assisting veterinarians and cardiologists with echocardiograms, ECG placement and monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, Holter monitor placement and client education, sedation and anesthesia support, interventional cardiology procedures, preparing and maintaining sterile procedure areas and specialized equipment, monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection, and administering medications accurately and safely. They will also provide compassionate communication and education to clients, maintain accurate and detailed medical records, and collaborate closely with specialty, ER, anesthesia, and ICU teams.
Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience
- Strong knowledge of anesthetic monitoring
- Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens
- Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and normal vs. abnormal ranges
- Able to thrive in a highly collaborative environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to excellent client service
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a willingness to learn and grow
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required

Pay & Schedule
Salary: $25.00 – $30.00/hour (dependent on experience)
Relocation Bonus: $5,000 for Licensed Veterinary Technicians
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
