Licensed Therapist - (PRN) (ADMISSIONS)

Responsibilities

As a Therapist - Admissions Coordinator, you are responsible for:

  • Planning, coordinating, documenting, and facilitating the patient intake process in accordance with the hospital’s established policies and procedures.
  • Conducting comprehensive admission assessments, gathering clinical and psychosocial information, and coordinating with referral sources, patients, and families to ensure appropriate level-of-care placement.
  • Ensuring all admission documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to initiate the Master Treatment Plan at the time of admission and communicating relevant patient information to the treatment team to support continuity of care.
  • Providing crisis assessment as needed and working closely with physicians, nursing staff, and families to ensure a smooth, timely, and efficient admission process while promoting a positive patient and family experience.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A current Mississippi license as a LCSW, LMSW, or LPC.
  • Two years’ experience in an psychiatric setting.
  • Prior experience as an LMSW, LCSW, or LPC is preferred.
  • Four years experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred.
