Licensed Therapist for Geriatric Behavioral Health Services
Position Summary
Responsible for supporting the mission of the hospital. Facilitates patient assessments and admissions to the Lighthouse Intensive Outpatient Program as assigned. Provides therapeutic services to groups, individuals, and families participating in the Lighthouse Intensive Outpatient Program as assigned. Responsible for Bio-psychosocial as assigned. Actively adds and addresses problems on the Master Treatment Plan and participates in Treatment Team meetings. Collaborates with team members to write Discharge Plan for patients and meets with patients at discharge when needed. May at times need to provide therapy to individuals and/or families who are inpatient within the hospital. Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team which includes other staff, physicians, and other hospital departments. Participates in community outreach activities as needed. Utilizes knowledge of standards, policies and procedures as outlined for the hospital.
Position Qualifications
- Licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Experience in providing therapeutic services in a geriatric behavioral health setting preferred
- Experience providing group, individual, and family therapies
- Ability to provide therapeutic services to ensure patient safety and satisfaction and promote the integrity of program
- Maintains and displays a positive attitude at all times
