Licensed Therapist/Counselor

About the role

Freedom Behavioral of Monroe/West Monroe is seeking a Licensed Therapist to work in our Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy Programs. The Licensed Therapist is an integral part of our social services program, ensuring compliance with legal, organizational, medical staff, and regulatory agency guidelines. You will collaborate with therapy services, case management, education, and discharge planning teams to support patient well-being, adhering to Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical supervision of individual, group, and family sessions for patients as indicated in supervisor notes.
• Participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and in chart reviews for quality assurance.
• Works with the clinical department on discharge and aftercare planning, completion of discharge summaries, clinical documentation, and providing guidance to clinical staff.
• Reviews psycho-social documentation, completes outcome studies assessments, and develops clinical notes.
• Provides clinical counseling services, including group, individual, and family services, with communication sensitive to age, disability, and cultural needs.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess an LPC, LCSW, or LMSW, PLPC license in good standing with the State of Louisiana.
• Must be an LPC in the State of Louisiana or an LMSW.
• Preferred: Three (3) years of full-time experience in psych.
• Excellent assertive communication skills, strong writing and composition abilities, and the capacity to organize and prioritize a high-volume workload.
• Ability to work under close supervision.
• Therapeutic Intervention/De-escalation education.
• Must successfully complete CPR certification.
