Licensed Substitute Teacher (Certified) Substitute for the 2026-2027 School Year

Requirements (must Have)

• A valid Colorado Substitute Authorization (1, 3 or 5-year) or Colorado Teaching License
• Apply for a CDE Substitute Authorization
• Provide three letters of recommendation

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher
• Maintain the regular routine of the classroom whenever possible
• Perform all of the duties of the classroom teacher, including covering extra classes if needed
• Be responsible for the pupils, equipment, and materials assigned to them for the assignment (all materials and equipment borrowed must be returned to the proper authority before leaving campus)
• Leave a brief summary of the days activities for the classroom teacher (summary may include behavior issues, special circumstances for the day, work that was done or not done during the day)

Pay

$150.00 per day for full day assignments (4.51 hours or more)
$75.00 per half day assignment (4.5 hours or less)

Schedule

Licensed substitutes can select when and where they would like to work (flexible schedule).
