About the Role

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare center offering advanced behavioral health, diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents, and older adults in both inpatient and outpatient programs. We are currently looking for a Full Time Group Licensed Social Worker to work on our Dual Diagnose/Addiction Medicine unit.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the patient's mental and psycho-social needs and provide services to meet these needs in order to attain or maintain the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.
  • Coordinate and manage services provided to each patient to establish a focused, individualized program geared towards specific goals unique to that patient.
  • Act as a liaison for patient, family, and staff, overseeing day-to-day operations of all care provided to ensure successful patient outcomes.
  • Conduct clinical assessment and treatment of designated patients on assigned unit.
  • Manage discharge planning.
  • Participate as a member of multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Use an understanding of principles of growth to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy by encouraging open communication and verbalization of feelings in an attempt to increase self-awareness and identify and resolve problems.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work and licensure as a social worker in the State of New Jersey required.
  • Experience with Dual Diagnose and/or Addiction Medicine preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years clinical expertise in individual, group, family, and marital therapy.
  • Previous experience in case management discharge planning preferred.
  • Psychiatric inpatient experience preferred.
  • Strong writing and communications skills.
