Licensed Salon Manager

About the role

As the Salon Manager, you serve as the "CEO" of your salon — the primary driver of growth, profitability, and culture. You’ll mentor the next generation of Salon Professionals, lead by example behind the chair, and use data and digital tools (Stylist App, Zenoti) to crush sales goals, maximize the schedule, and boost the salon’s reputation.

Responsibilities

• Talent acquisition: recruit top stylists, partner with local beauty schools, and build a high-performing team.
• Guest experience: model the guest journey to turn first-time visitors into lifelong clients.
• Business growth: leverage data and digital tools to hit sales targets, optimize scheduling, and elevate salon reputation.
• Team development: use the IGROW coaching model to advance associates’ careers through Personal Development Meetings and ongoing mentorship.
• Operations & compliance: maintain a safe, clean, inspiring salon environment that meets State Board and OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum 12 months in a prior leadership role (preferred).
• Availability: 40 hours per week (5 days, 8 hours per day) standard schedule.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive salon motions throughout the shift.
• Comfort working in a salon environment with exposure to hair chemicals, scents, and fumes.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory.
• Commitment to attend all required training and events.
• Strong leadership presence: ability to motivate a team, navigate tough conversations, and sustain morale during peak periods.
• Business acumen: comfortable managing payroll percentages, analyzing performance scorecards, and driving profitability.
• Technical proficiency: actively perform services and model established hair guides.
• Communication mastery: effective in one-on-one coaching, team huddles, and internal social channels.

Pay

Performance-based compensation including service commissions, retail commissions, and tips. All compensation meets applicable wage law requirements.
