Licensed Salon Manager

About the Role

At Hair Cuttery, we’re looking for a Salon Manager who is part coach, part entrepreneur, and 100% a culture-shaper. As the "CEO" of your salon, you’ll drive growth, profitability, and vibe, while mentoring the next generation of top-tier Salon Professionals.

Responsibilities

• Be a Talent Scout: Recruit top stylists, partner with local beauty schools, and build a high-performing team.
• Master the "Guest Journey": Lead by example, demonstrating how to turn first-time guests into loyal clients.
• Grow Your Empire: Use data and digital tools to achieve sales goals, optimize scheduling, and enhance salon reputation.
• Be the Ultimate Mentor: Utilize the IGROW model to support career development for your team.
• Set the Stage: Maintain a safe, clean, and inspiring salon environment, adhering to State Board and OSHA standards.

Requirements

• License: Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Work Authorization: Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Experience: Minimum 12 months in a leadership role preferred.
• Availability: 40 hours per week (5 days/8 hours per day) standard.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive salon motions throughout shifts.
• Environment: Comfortable working with hair chemicals, scents, and fumes.
• Skills: Basic math for cash/inventory management and commitment to training.

• Leadership Spark: Ability to motivate, handle tough conversations, and maintain team morale.
• Business Savvy: Comfort with numbers, payroll management, and performance analysis.
• Technical Skill: Proficiency in performing salon services and adhering to established hair guides.
• Communication Mastery: Effective in one-on-one meetings and internal communications.

Pay

Compensation is performance-based, including service and retail commissions, tips, and meeting wage law requirements.

Schedule

Standard schedule is 40 hours per week (5 days/8 hours per day).
