Licensed Salon Manager

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire top stylists; partner with local beauty schools to build a high-performing team.
• Lead by example behind the chair, demonstrating the guest journey to convert first-time guests into loyal clients.
• Drive salon growth and profitability using data and digital tools (Stylist App, Zenoti) to meet sales goals, optimize scheduling, and boost reputation.
• Mentor associates using the IGROW model to advance their careers through regular Personal Development Meetings.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inspiring salon environment that meets State Board and OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum 12 months prior leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week (5 days, 8 hours per day).
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive salon motions throughout the shift.
• Comfort working in a salon environment with exposure to hair chemicals, scents, and fumes.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
• Commitment to attend all required training and events.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to motivate a team, handle difficult conversations, and maintain morale during peak periods.
• Business acumen: comfortable managing payroll percentages, analyzing performance scorecards, and driving financial results.
• Technical proficiency — actively perform services and model established hair guides.
• Strong communication skills for one-on-one coaching and internal social recognition.

Pay

Performance-based compensation including service commissions, retail commissions, and tips. All compensation meets applicable wage law requirements.
