Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections - SCI Greene

About the role

This position manages and directs psychological services programs that support inmates at SCI Greene. The role ensures effective evaluation, treatment, and program development across multiple mental health areas.

Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision: Oversee and guide psychological staff in screenings, evaluations, counseling, and crisis interventions
• Program Leadership: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and counseling programs that address inmate adjustment and daily living needs
• Committee Oversight: Lead clinical and review committees that evaluate inmate needs, treatment planning, and mental health responses
• Clinical Standards: Set competencies and standards for psychological measures and ensure accuracy, reliability, and proper documentation
• Report Review: Examine and prepare diagnostic and evaluation reports that support inmate case management
• Expert Consultation: Provide specialized guidance on behavioral management, special needs programming, and staff training initiatives

Qualifications

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction
• Valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
• Able to perform essential job functions
