About the role
2 positions available to be filled in the Syracuse or Rome area.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of one or more Human Rights Committees (HRCs) which meet on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. Review Behavior Support Plans that include restrictions to ensure their justification.
- Provide review and oversight for plans written by Master's Level Psychologists and Doctoral Level Psychologists, ensuring they are well-written, follow policies, procedures, and regulations, and support the use of proper fading plans.
- Utilize the OPWDD Electronic Health Record (EHR) to review edits and required actions, and provide approval in EHR once reviewed.
- Assist with other tasks that require a Licensed Psychologist, such as reviewing paperwork for end-of-life care and major medical procedures, and assessing the ability to give informed consent.
- May provide training, supervision, and clinical support based on interest, clinical background, and agency needs.
- Supervise and provide professional psychological services, including assessment and treatment, clinical leadership, program management, forensic or court ordered assessment, treatment, and expert testimony, specialized assessments, behavioral technology, crisis intervention, and design and application of specialized psychological interventions.
Requirements
Candidates must be licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Psychologist.

Skills
Expertise in neuropsychology, child and adolescent psychology, sex offense treatment, forensic or court ordered assessment, treatment, and expert testimony, specialized assessments, behavioral technology, crisis intervention, training, peer review.

Pay
Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 25 ($96,336), Increased hiring rate ($25,077), and Geographic Pay Differential ($20,000). The Geographic Pay Differential is also applied to the posted Job Rate ($121,413).
Schedule
20 hours per week Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm; 8:00am to 12 noon; or 12:30pm to 4:30pm.
