Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)

Description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are actively seeking an experienced Full-Time Licensed Psychological Associate to provide oversight in support Bowie, MD.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor behavior plans for adults in group homes.
• Tailor each plan to address specific behavioral needs while ensuring goals are clear, measurable, and achievable.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify patterns, triggers, and the underlying causes of behaviors.
• Work with group homes staff, case managers, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective plan implementation.
• Aid in crisis situations by providing guidance on de-escalation and managing challenging behaviors.
• Maintain adjustments to plans as needed based on observed outcomes and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including behavioral assessments, progress reports, behavior plans, and other required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Advocate for the needs and rights of residents, ensuring they receive the necessary therapeutic services.

Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
• Licensure: Psychological Associate certification or licensure in the state of Maryland.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with adults in group home settings or with individuals with developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Experience in behavior assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of behavior interventions.
• Knowledge of mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and behavioral challenges commonly seen in residential care settings.
