Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive mental health services to patients within correctional and detention facilities.
- Conduct psychological assessments, provide therapy, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with facility staff to ensure effective care and support for patients in a correctional setting.
- Provide clinical and consultation services in line with company policies and standards of the APA, NCCHC, and ACA, including diagnosis, treatment, psychological testing, evaluations, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis management under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist.
- Ensure clinical services adhere to ethical and professional standards, participate in case staffing, care management meetings, and quality improvement activities.
- Complete clinical documentation professionally and promptly, maintain data for departmental statistics, and develop goals and objectives for clinical services in consultation with supervisors.
- Deliver staff training on mental health issues and assist in the development and refinement of facility policies and procedures to meet recognized standards.
- Participate in a 24-hour crisis intervention system, promptly notify the supervising Psychologist of serious incidents, and provide timely updates on clinical concerns impacting clients or the mental health services program.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology.
- Experience with mental health delivery systems.
- Experience in the mental field indicating knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments.
- Licensed as a Licensed Psychological Associate in the state of Kentucky.
