Licensed Psychiatric Tech (LPT) / Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN)
Overview
Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5pm.
Compensation We Offer: The initial compensation for this position ranges from $32.30 to $39.72 per hour, depending on experience, location, and internal equity considerations. 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD., and select Peer Certifications. 7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions.

Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to the staff RN and Psychiatrist in the implementation of nursing processes in the agency.
- Implements youth's medical treatment plan and medication orders.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary teams, organizes, and provides education to staff, parents, and youth regarding health, safety, psychiatric, and medication issues.
- Schedules medical, dental, and laboratory appointments considering medical requirements, service, and transportation schedules.
- Schedules external psychiatric appointments and follows-up as delegated by the attending psychiatrist.
- Follows MD orders, oversees, evaluates, and implements all activities and functions around ordering, monitoring, documenting, and the handling of medications.
- Maintains and manages the medical and psychiatric records and Private Health Information (PHI) in an organized and timely manner, meeting the standards of care, accreditation, licensing requirements, and patient care needs.
- Monitors medications for potential medication side effects.
- Attends committees, team, and staff meetings.
- Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs.
Qualifications
- Completion of a prescribed course of study and training in a school accredited by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians of the State of California, and received a license through the Board of Vocational Nursing or a certificate through the Psychiatric Technicians of the State of California.
- One (1) year clinical experience required.

Driving Required
May have unsupervised contact with children. Requires full background check and TB Exam.
