Licensed Product Designer

The Basics

Duration: 4 months
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Onsite in Broomfield, CO

Top 3 Required Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of product design experience, preferably within licensed consumer products
• Strong portfolio showcasing licensed product design, graphic storytelling, and brand interpretation
• Experience working with entertainment, gaming, sports, character, or lifestyle brands

Other Qualifications

• Strong graphic design, illustration, typography, and visual storytelling skills
• Experience developing products across footwear, apparel, accessories, collectibles, toys, or related categories
• Ability to translate franchise and brand DNA into compelling product concepts
• Understanding of color, materials, finishes, and consumer trends
• Knowledge of the product creation process from concept through commercialization
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Create product concepts that bring licensed brands and franchises to life through authentic storytelling
• Develop mood boards, concept presentations, renderings, graphic applications, packaging concepts, and visual narratives
• Translate consumer, fandom, and cultural insights into commercially relevant product ideas
• Lead projects from concept through commercialization, including graphics, materials, approvals, and production milestones
• Present concepts and creative strategies to leadership and external licensing partners
• Navigate partner brand guidelines while identifying opportunities for innovation
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Stay current on emerging brands, franchises, entertainment properties, gaming trends, and consumer behavior
