About the role
The Grossman School of Medicine at NYU Langone Health is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) to join their team. This position supports the missions, philosophy, standards, goals, and objectives of NYULH.
Responsibilities
- Participates in patient-centered quality and performance improvement programs.
- Acquires and maintains current LPN knowledge and competence.
- Supports the missions, philosophy, standards, goals, and objectives of NYULH.
- Collects patient healthcare data systematically.
- Enforces adherence to NYULH and FGP policies and procedures.
- Engages in self-assessment and participates in activities to promote professional growth.
- Performs various patient care tasks, including vital signs, weight checks, EKGs, blood collection, and medication administration.
- Communicates with patients and medical staff.
- Ensures clinical compliance with Patient Safety initiatives and reporting.
- Supports the FGP brand ambassador role by promoting excellence in the patient experience.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and site management to ensure a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Graduate of LPN program with current NYS OP LPN licensure and registration.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment.
- Physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual, and aural acuity to perform responsibilities needed.
Qualifications
- BLS certification preferred.
- Outpatient setting and experience with wound care, administering vaccines, injections, and medications experience preferred.
Skills
- Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
