Responsibilities

• Reports timely and accurate changes in the patient's condition.
• Change in vital signs and blood sugars.
• Turns in assignment sheet for evaluation.
• Change in pain status, etc.
• Demonstrates knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies.
• Follows plan of care as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Examples may include but are not limited to: properly complies with appropriate physician orders.
• Observes, reports and assists in meeting patient needs as per plan of care.
• Observes and reports the patient's physical and mental status.
• Provides medical treatments as per physician order.
• Administers prescribed medication.
• Records vital signs, intake and output other related responsibilities.
• Supports/reinforces patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene, nutrition and daily activities.
