Licensed Practical Nurse (Weekend Warrior)

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, utilize a general understanding of nursing principles and basic physical assessment skills to develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Assist in the orientation and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Attend to daily unit operations per shift and assume leadership responsibilities as needed.
• Take an active role in direct resident assessment and care.
• Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing direct resident care, adhering to State and Federal regulations.
• Formulate individualized nursing care plans using the nursing process.
• Assess each resident daily and adjust care plans as needed.
• Assist physicians on rounds, communicate pertinent information, and ensure orders are taken correctly.
• Participate in the training and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Utilize leadership and supervision principles effectively.
• Manage conflict through problem-solving and communication skills.
• Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Prepare daily assignments of duties, treatments, and miscellaneous tasks.

Schedule

Double shift on Saturday and Sunday.
