Licensed Practical Nurse - Urgent Care

Role Overview This position focuses on providing compassionate, patient-centered care, building strong rapport with members and patients, and supporting medical providers. It involves performing routine and specialized nursing procedures, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring safety and infection control standards. Key Responsibilities Adhere to quality, safety, and emergency policies, ensuring effective clinical practice and patient safety in medication administration, infection prevention, and fall prevention.Support physicians by preparing patients, communicating delays, and facilitating procedures, demonstrating excellent service and courteous behavior.Perform nursing procedures such as medication administration, treatments, and specialized care, following physician orders and care plans.Monitor and report patient condition changes, initiating emergency procedures when needed.Educate patients on health maintenance, medication use, and post-operative or diabetic care.Assist with examinations, treatments, minor surgeries, and maintain accurate medical records.Support training of new staff, manage supplies, and demonstrate service behaviors aligned with organizational values. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and licensure as an LPN in Colorado.High school diploma or GED required.Licensure as a Practical Nurse and Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 3 months of hire.Preferred: 6 months of experience with adults, pediatrics, or trauma; IV therapy certification; BLS and IV certification within 90 days.
