Licensed Practical Nurse - River Crossing Clinic 85%
About the role
The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient-centered Licensed Practical Nurse 85% (34 hours per week) to work at the UICC River Crossing Family Medicine Clinics. This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic programs for patients.
- In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support provider.
- Medical Terminology
- Public Contact/Customer Service
- Driver’s License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards

- Percent of Time: 85% (34 hours per week)
- Schedule: Variable between Tuesday – Friday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Location: Riverside, IA (or surrounding clinics based on clinical need or hours)
- Pay Grade: 11
