Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse (NOC Shift)

Responsibilities

• Assume authority, responsibility, and accountability for carrying out job duties.
• Receive reports at the beginning of each shift and assess the physical and emotional status of each resident.
• Evaluate residents' needs for continued or immediate care.
• Delegate direct care responsibilities to nursing personnel based on resident needs, physical layout, and staff ability.
• Oversee all phases of direct resident care within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act.
• Ensure nursing staff perform all restorative measures recommended in the plan of care.
• Report all incidents of change in resident’s condition to the Director of Nursing.
• Assist physicians on rounds and keep them informed of resident status, changes in condition, and medical emergencies.
• Plan working schedules to allow for education, supervision, and evaluations of all nursing personnel during the shift.
• Maintain completeness of resident charts and individual care plans with timely, informative, and descriptive entries.
• Write daily nursing notes on all skilled residents and monthly summary notes on each resident as scheduled.
• Ensure timely execution of all physician orders, including laboratory testing, specialized therapy, and medication administration.

Requirements

• Valid RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program.
• Completion of company orientation.
• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Satisfactory evidence of identity and employment eligibility within three days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
