Licensed Practical Nurse Rapid Clinic
Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse conducts a focused assessment through the collection and comparison of data to normal findings and the patient's current health status. Reports of changes will be given to the appropriate licensed health care provider for ongoing direction, patient management, and delegation of care. Participates with the health care team in the development and modifications to the patient's health plan of care and orders. Implements patient care interventions that are delegated, ordered, or prescribed by a licensed health care provider. Assigns nursing activities or tasks to other licensed practical nurses (LPN) and assigns and monitors nursing tasks or activities to certified medical assistants or any unlicensed personnel on the health care team. Focuses on patient care through the provision of safe and effective care, patient advocacy, assistance with patient evaluation, interventions, and collaboration and communication with health care team members. Provides health care information to patients and reviews education materials. Provides input for policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current LPN Minnesota state license, current Medical Assistant certification or registration required. Must maintain license/certification/registration.
- Experience in an ambulatory health care setting is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and maintain positive working relationships.
- BLS certification to be completed within two months of employment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission, and values.
- Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.

Compensation
The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
