Licensed Practical Nurse - Per Diem/PRN

About the Role

Provide patient care under the supervision or guidance of a Registered Nurse, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality care, patient rights, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care across departments
• Maintain accountability for patient outcomes
• Float between various hospital facilities and departments, including Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical units
• Provide direct patient care and ensure patient safety
• Maintain confidentiality
• Collaborate with healthcare teams across multiple facilities
• Self-schedule and manage availability for short-notice shifts

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current LPN license
• Recent bedside LPN experience (1 year for Med Surg; 2 years for other specialties)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS and PALS certifications (for specific units)
• IV certification (required)
• Physical ability to lift, stand, and perform various movements

Skills

• Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work various shifts
• Adaptability to last-minute cancellations or changes
• Experience with Epic software (potentially required)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
