About the Role
Provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician within the scope of license in a medical-surgical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions
- Perform laboratory tests
- Deliver therapeutic services
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, self-care, available resources, and follow-up care
Requirements
- Current or eligible licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- BLS certification obtained within 1 month of hire, from American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent

- Strong patient assessment and educational skills
