Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN - Women's Health Clinic

Job Overview

Fairview has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their Women's Health Care team at their West Bank clinic in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period) position, benefits-eligible.

Clinic Hours of Operation

Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 5PM. No weekends!

Responsibilities

• Follows the patient’s plan of care.
• Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, available resources, and patient/family preferences, in collaboration with the RN or physician/authorized practitioner.
• Performs high and low-risk technical procedures, including medications, defined by the clinical setting.
• Recognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences.
• Implements assigned aspects of the patient teaching plan.
• Documents care in the medical record.
• Effectively communicates compliance and concerns to delegating RN or physician/authorized practitioner.
• Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and nursing practice guidelines.
• Responds appropriately to emergent situations.
• Documents care in the medical record.
• Communicates verbal and written information in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Uses communication approaches appropriate to patient/family needs.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN License.
• Basic Life Support Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ambulatory Care Experience.
• At least 1 year of Clinical Experience.

Compensation
