Duties And Responsibilities
- Administer skilled nursing care to patients according to their physical and emotional needs.
- Absess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of all assigned patients in the center as appropriate.
- Obtain vital signs and patient history.
- Prepare patients and assist with exams and procedures.
- Administer medications and immunizations.
- Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
- Provide basic wound care and monitor patient status.
- Communicate results to patients per provider direction.
- Perform follow-up calls and assist with patient/family education for continuation of care.
- Assist with precepting new clinical employees and student nurses.
- Document all care in EMR accurately and timely.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Follow infection control policies.
- Performs other clinical duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Graduate of accredited licensed practical nursing program and licensed to practice in South Carolina by the SC State Board of Nursing.
- Two years of clinical experience in primary care preferred.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to relate to a variety of people at different developmental levels.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Must be flexible as to the changing needs of the center.
- Must be able to work as a team player at all times.
- Current CPR certification required.
