Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Weekend Nights
About the role
We are hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Weekend Nights position at RHA Health Services. This is a regular, part-time role located in Trenton, TN (On-Site).
Job Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Aid the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services
- Train unlicensed personnel on health-related topics
- Administer medications and treatments or assist with medication administration
- Schedule and ensure preventative and routine medical appointments
- Conduct medication closest assessments and observe for and report any abnormal health-related findings
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
- Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
- Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing
- CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Effective communication skills with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
- Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
- Ability to pull a minimum of 25 pounds
- Ability to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop
- Ability to regularly stand and walk
- Proficiency in CPR from the floor level
