Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Weekend Days
About the role
We are hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Weekend Days position at RHA Health Services. This is a regular part-time role located in Trenton, TN (On-Site).
Job Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Aid the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services
- Train unlicensed personnel on health-related topics
- Administer medications and treatments, or assist with medication administration
- Schedule and ensure preventative and routine medical appointments
- Conduct medication closest assessments
- Collect and record health-related data
- Observe for and report any abnormal health-related findings to the physician
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
- Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
- Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing
- CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Effective communication skills with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
- Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks
- Physical requirements including ability to lift up to 40 pounds, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop
- Regular standing and walking
- Proficiency in CPR from the floor level
- Vision requirements including close, distance, and peripheral vision
- Ability to communicate

- Drug testing
- Educational verification and other credentialing based on position requirements
