The Opportunity

The ConvenientMD team is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care to patients in our urgent care clinics. This role involves conducting patient triage, assisting with exams, performing clinical procedures, and maintaining accurate records.

Your Impact

  • Patient Care & Triage: Take vital signs, document medical history, perform observational examinations, and identify immediate healthcare needs.
  • Auxiliary Services: Prepare necessary equipment and documentation for exams, execute point-of-care tests, deliver wound care, administer medications, and manage cardiac and airway functions.
  • Documentation & Communication: Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans. Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
  • Clinic Operations: Ensure medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained according to organizational policies. Maintain a stocked and sterile workspace.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to coordinate patient care. Communicate effectively with providers and other healthcare professionals.

Required Availability

  • Must be available to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive or non-consecutive days.
  • For full-time: Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week, with at least four (4) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
  • For part-time: Two (2) 12-hour shifts per week, with at least two (2) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
  • For per diem: Four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, ideally working one (1) shift each week.
  • Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays.
  • If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other ConvenientMD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from your primary clinic.
  • May need to travel for training shifts within a one (1) hour commute.

Who You Are

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certification and Experience: State licensed practical nurse (LPN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. IV certification required for Maine and New Hampshire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
  • Character Traits: Compassionate, authentic, and patient-focused; proactive and confident communicator; trustworthy; effective communicator and cross-collaborator; excellent team player; technically savvy.

Bonus Qualifications

  • One to two (1-2) years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department preferred.
