The Opportunity

The ConvenientMD team is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our urgent care facility. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, assisting with exams, and collaborating with the clinical team.

Your Impact

  • Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage, take vital signs, document medical history, and perform observational examinations.
  • Auxiliary Services: Assist with patient exams, prepare necessary equipment, and support providers during testing and procedures.
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform diagnostic and testing procedures, execute point-of-care tests, deliver wound care, administer medications, and provide cardiac and airway management.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic medical records, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans to patients.
  • Clinic Operations: Ensure medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained according to organizational policies, and support smooth clinic operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with providers, and welcome and support new team members.

Required Availability

  • Must be available to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive or non-consecutive days.
  • For full-time: Three 12-hour shifts per week, with at least four shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
  • For part-time: Two 12-hour shifts per week, with at least two shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
  • For per diem: Four 12-hour shifts per month, ideally working one shift each week.
  • Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three other ConvenientMD locations within a one-hour travel distance from your primary clinic.
  • May need to travel for training shifts within a one-hour commute.

Who You Are

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certification and Experience: State licensed practical nurse (LPN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. IV certification required for Maine and New Hampshire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
  • Character Traits: Compassionate, authentic, and patient-focused; proactive and confident communicator; trustworthy; effective communicator and cross-collaborator; excellent team player.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, experience with or ability to learn Experity, and other business systems.

Bonus Qualifications

  • One to two years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department preferred.
