Role Overview
Responsible for providing direct nursing services and supervising health related aspects of care for clients. This position will assist in coordinating medical care and intervention with other team members and providers.
Essential Duties
- Deliver high-quality patient care by providing prescribed medical treatment, providing physical assessments, developing plans of care, and implementing medical support services.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Gather, monitor, and record patient symptoms, history, and changes in their conditions.
- Perform standard care procedures like drawing blood, checking vital signs, or collecting lab samples.
- Cookout with, consult, and problem solve medical care and intervention with Interdisciplinary team members and providers.
- Consistently and independently follow established safety procedures.
- Report any medical or medication errors by end of shift.
- Maintain updated knowledge of professional licensure and medications procedures, healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices, by actively participating in professional and educational development.
- Participate in staff meetings and inter-agency meetings as required.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects.
Licenses And Certifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse license (pass NCLEX-PN exam) required.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required.
- DORA license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required.
- Basic Life Support Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- More than two years of nursing experience preferred.
- Experience working in behavioral health and substance use preferred.
- Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred.
