Responsibilities

  • Comply with nursing policies and procedures to ensure nursing standards are met.
  • Promotes optimal health for clients.
  • Administers medications and treatments per physician’s orders and in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Can administer medications via all routes, without restriction, including controlled substances.
  • Absists clients with all health and medical devices, including but not limited to glasses, hearing devices, tracheotomies, G/J tubes, colostomies, urostomies, apnea monitors, CPAP machines, ventilators, oxygen, oxygen concentrators, nebulizer machines, suction devices, suctioning toothbrushes, etc.
  • Maintains vigilance for clients’ health, reporting changes or incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Completes all required documentation including but not limited to assessments, nurses’ notes, tracking forms, charting, incident reports, monthly/quarterly reports, etc.
  • Assists with quality assurance reviews and files documents in charts.
  • Completes medication validation and documentation as required by APD (65G-7) guidelines.
  • Assists with Respiratory Therapy and IV Therapy as needed to include pushing IV medications and mixing of IV medications.
  • Assists with clinical evaluations and assessment of medication administration and/or understanding of medical procedures of clients.
  • Ensures client’s mealtime procedures and therapeutic positioning procedures, including client transfers, are followed.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Registered Nurses (RN).
  • Active unrestricted license a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.
  • Experience in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Experience with specific medical equipment or procedures.
  • Effectively communicate at all levels, write, and speak English.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future.
