Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role

The Embassy of Valley View is seeking licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs) for various shifts. This is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants.
• Ensure all nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures.
• Review and update department policies and procedures.
• Plan shifts' services, programs, and activities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents.
• Complete accident/incident reports.
• Prepare and administer medications.
• Participate in employee performance evaluations.
• Requisition and arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services.
• Implement and maintain nursing objectives and standards.
• Monitor seriously ill residents.
• Assist in arranging transportation for discharged residents.
• Inform family members of the death of the resident.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current licensure as an LPN or RN in the state of Ohio.
• Experience in long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass a drug screening.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of long-term care facilities and regulations.
