Position: Licensed Practical Nurse | Department: Pulmonary Unit | Shift: 7:00 pm-7:00 am Full Time 36 hours a week, 72 hours per pay period | Facility: Miami Valley Hospital
About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in patient care, working collaboratively under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN is an integral part of the nursing team, contributing to the successful implementation of patient care plans.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies.
- Provide essential physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
- Assist in the implementation of patient care plans under RN supervision.
- Maintain accountability for nursing duties and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Current AHA BLS (American Heart Association Basic Life Support) certification.
- Certified to administer medications.
- Minimum of a diploma-level education.
- IV Certification (preferred).
