About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation Mathews is PRN (Per Request Not Scheduled), working at least 8 shifts per 4-week schedule, with at least 2 shifts on weekends. The pay rate starts at $37.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments accurately and according to provider’s orders.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability, considering safety and dignity issues.
• Fulfills supervisory duties, assigning tasks to non-professional staff like Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) based on their education, training, and resident needs.
• Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance issues as necessary.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates resident care plans.
• Identifies changes in resident condition and documents them using the Interact process.
• Demonstrates consistent follow-through for positive resident outcomes and utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.

Requirements

• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience (preferred).
• Licenses and Certifications:
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP).
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
