Responsibilities
- Delivers quality nursing care to assigned patients, collecting data and identifying deviations from normal.
- Accurately documents all findings in the patient record and communicates pertinent assessment findings with other healthcare members.
- Implements nursing care interventions, performs treatments, conducts bedside laboratory tests, wound care, and assists with ADLs.
- Administers medications safely and accurately, communicating doses and providing patient education.
- Communicates incomplete assignments and patient needs to other disciplines to ensure continuity of care.
- Utilizes nursing resources to enhance evidence-based practice and guides, educates, and leads new staff.
Requirements
- Current, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in high-stress environments, assess potential for patient escalation, and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Must successfully complete CPR certification and an Oceans-approved behavioral health de-escalation program.

Work Environment

- Spends approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that protects from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
