About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the healthcare team and law enforcement. Duties are performed under the supervision of the RN, HSA, Mid Level Provider, Physician, or the administrative supervision of the HSC.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality care as per standards and ethics of nursing as outlined by the State Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Assists in the administration of medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
- Documents patient care activities accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate from a national or state-approved school of nursing program.
- Holds and maintains a current license to practice as an LPN in the state of employment.
- American Heart Association BLS certified.
Qualifications
- Experience in a correctional setting is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of correctional healthcare practices and procedures.

Pay
$5.00/hr with Shift Differential for all hours worked.
