Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part Time Days - Grand Arbor

Responsibilities

• Maintain and document changes in resident’s physical, mental, or emotional status.
• Communicate resident changes with the interdisciplinary team and document all observations.
• Administer medications as prescribed or other physician-ordered treatments.
• Transcribe new physician orders and maintain clean, organized med carts and nursing stations.
• Educate residents about their medications, treatments, and side effects while respecting their right to make personal choices.
• Communicate changes in resident health to families, offering support and comfort during difficult times.
• Monitor and provide work direction to Nursing Assistants, offering guidance, instruction, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Minnesota.
• CPR certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Experience working with seniors in long-term care, home care, or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population, including residents with varying values, backgrounds, and capabilities.
• Physical capability to perform job duties.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to pass state mandated background check.

Pay

$25.00- $28.00/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Schedule

Part-time days LPN working 1 weekend a month, 7 am - 5 pm, includes a holiday rotation.
