Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - North Behavioral Health Sr. Adult

About the role

Community North Behavioral Health Senior Adult Unit has a part-time LPN opportunity available. The Behavioral Health Senior Adult Unit provides true compassionate care to our most vulnerable population, stabilizing their lives while dealing with various mental health disorders and dementia. The position involves working with a veteran team who deeply cares for geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Collaborates with the RN on the plan of care.
• Affords assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Administers medications as per the plan of care.
• Performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Directs patient care including order transcription, documentation, and reinforcement of patient and family education.
• Collaborates with other team members to perform other unit services as directed.

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized accredited school of practical nursing, or Graduate from a non-accredited school of practical nursing with three years related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
