Responsibilities
- Achieve individualized treatment planning and consult with RNs and staff as needed.
- Administer medications, including IV therapy (if certified), and perform diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate in controlled substance counts, adhere to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions, and respond to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines.
- Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions to demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
- Maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
