Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Nights (12-hour shifts)

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for over 35 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA, our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. About the role

This opportunity is full-time, offers full benefits, and features a nightshift schedule (6:30pm-7:00am) with rotation every other weekend and holiday. Part-time and PRN positions are also available, though some benefits and the sign-on bonus are excluded. There is opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested. This position qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• Accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• Monitor and document patient condition and interventions, reporting findings to the unit Charge Nurse/RN.
• Monitor Nursing and Clinical Care plans and participate in Treatment Team meetings as necessary.
• Provide supportive counseling and patient education.
• Facilitate medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
• Respond to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse.
• One year prior experience in D&A and/or mental health nursing preferred but not required.
